Remember Adventures is a Social Enterprise which funds Public Advocacy Fieldwork on endangered Crown managed land in Mi’kma’ki. Our particular concern is the protection and documentation of L’nu’k culturally modified trees and the burials and landscapes they map. We raise funds by providing Pedal Buggy, Kayak, Bike and Board Game rentals, selling books (including 2nd hand) and games inĀ Gran’s Book Shoppe, and two Airbnb accommodations (Tatamagouche Adventure Suite and Wentworth Waterfront Chalet). We have beautiful grounds including a demonstration pollinator meadow and, Gran (AKA Mary), the owner, who is an environmental engineer and an archaeologist, has also been raising awareness about global insect decline since 2013 via social media as Queen Bee for the global Insect Recovery Project. We are located in vibrant Tatamagouche, on Main Street next to the Train Station Inn and The Trans-Canada Trail and right across from Big Al’s restaurant and The Fraser Cultural and local Information Centre. Our office, bookshop and equipment rentals open for the season Victoria Day weekend and close after the weekend before Thanksgiving. Hours during our open season (above) are Thursday through Sunday 10 am to 4:30 pm. Equipment must be returned one half hour before sunset, board games can be kept overnight and returned before the office closes next day at 4:30 pm. To avoid disappointment, we highly recommend reserving equipment if you want to use it on one of the four holiday weekends our season spans. Otherwise you are welcome to take your chances and pop by on the day. You will need a credit card to book. 902 293 1533. Yes, we do also keep a waiting list in the event we are oversubscribed.
