Our buggy, bike, kayak, and canoe equipment rental season is from Victoria Day weekend until the weekend before Thanksgiving in October. One buggy can, at at squeeze, accommodate a family of five (2 small children, 3 medium adults – total weight not to exceed 500 lbs). We have held our equipment rental rates steady over the last five years. They are a flat rate for the day and range from $29.99 to $49.99/per equipment. Yes we do give a substantial discount for a group booking if all our booked under one credit card. Dropins are very welcome but if you’d like to guarantee equipment, especially during July and August, phone us at 1-902-293-1533 and reserve with credit card information ($10 deposit per equipment required). HOURS: Thursday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Note: if you or someone in your party is very tall or very small these buggies may not work for you because the seat is only adjustable via cushions we provide. But don’t forget we also rent out bicycles and kayaks so do not despair 🙂
Equipment must be returned one half hour before dark. Upon your initial arrival, there is a credit card form and a waiver you need to fill out. Also remember; we are always closed to the public Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays the exception being if you are over-nighting with us in our onsite Airbnb: (Tatamagouche Adventure Suite . Note that if you stay with us at our Tatamagouche Airbnb (2 night minimum – maximum occupancy 4 private entrance) it is an amazing deal since rentals and breakfasts are included in your rate. Our Wentworth Chalet (3 night minimum) also includes breakfast and there is a canoe, kayak and rowboat there for your exclusive use as well. Both our sites are near to the ski hill so we are open for Airbnb guests during ski season 🙂
Pedal Buggy and Bike Rentals include helmets, waters, and snacks. We also rent out tandem kayaks, bikes, stroller, laser tag, snowshoes and sleds. You can also buy toys and games and new or used books and rent out our laser tag and board games from onsite Gran’s Book Shoppe.
